Year Update: Part 2

The Month of June came pretty quick and I have to say it was my favorite month this summer. I got some time off work and I was heading down to Georgia to see Jared and that was just the start of my 15 day vacation!

Jared's basic graduation was held on June 10th. I flew down and Jared's parent's JoAnn and Rick drove up. We were so excited to see Jared and spend some time with him and Jared was just as excited to be done with basic!

On June 9th we got to have a family day together and I got to see my husband for the first time in over two months!

Jared had one thing on his mind and that was Chocolate! I can't believe he went two months without it!

The next day was Jared's graduation! It was quite the spectacular with guns, costumes, and even a smoke machine! seriously. It was a great moment to see all the soldiers graduate be reunited with their families again! Its hard to explain how proud you are in that moment! We were all so proud of Jared!

The best part of all of it was being together again!

Sunday June 14th came and it was time to say good bye to Jared for another 12 weeks while he was in OSC. It was so hard to say good bye again but it helped a little to know that my vacation wasn't over and I was off to Terre Haute , Indiana to spend time with my family. It is in the middle of no where but its where my great grandparents and grandparents grew up and a lot of history of my family was made in that little city.

We got to see the house my great grandma grew up in and where her and my great grandpa lived when they first got married! They even let us go inside!

Apparently Terre Haute is the capital of covered bridges and we saw lots of those!

And the sweetest part of the trip was seeing the house my great grandparents got married in almost 75 years ago! They are still so in love! sweetest thing ever!

I spent most of July working at both Angel Stadium and Disneyland! I was also keeping busy by taking some summer school classes! Things were pretty hectic in California!

The end of July I did get to make another great trip to Utah and finally meet my brother in law who was just coming back from his mission in Hong Kong, China.

Most of August I spent time with friends, family and getting ready to move and be with my husband again. And doing what I loved to most which was take my little Henrie to the dog beach.

It was finally the end of August and time for me to go to Georgia for Jared's OSC graduation. And the best part was it was time to be with my husband again after 5 months! And thats when the real adventure begins!

I'm Updating!

This is way overdue but I thought it was time to update this little blog of ours!

I am totally new to the blog world and was a little shy to make my first post but I figured its a good time to start. I was thinking to myself should I make a new post or re-cap the entire first part of the year?

I figured I would start off by a recap of our year thus far. We have had a pretty great, exciting, and at times difficult first part of 2010. It will soon go back to being great since Jared has only about 3 weeks left of his first part of Army training and we will finally be reunited! woo hoo! :)

So without further ado lets start the recap of our first half of 2010.

Part 1 : Well of course the main event of January was our wedding in Corona, CA. It was a wonderful day! The day could have not been better and we were so happy to finally be married.

A few months after we got our photos back I found these black and white gems I have never even noticed! Here are a few of my favorites! Love them!

After our wedding we went on a wonderful 8 night Honeymoon to Florida! We went to Walt Disney World and on a 4 night Disney cruise to the Bahamas! It was so much fun and we are counting down the days until our next cruise!

Durning February we just enjoyed being Newlyweds and I celebrated my 25th Birthday!

In March we got to take a trip to New York City! My Dad had given the gift to the family for Christmas and we went there with My Dad, his wife Cathy, and my sisters Amanda and Amy. It was my first time in the city and it was so exciting! We can't wait to go back!

The end of March was time to say good bye. March 28th was the day Jared left to start basic training at Fort Benning, Georgia. He would be gone for about 5 months. It was a nervous, exciting, and anxious time for both of us. Jared was prepared to go and has achieved a lot durning his training.

The months of April and May went by pretty fast. Jared was getting thru basic and I was keeping myself busy here in California.

Baseball Season started which was exciting for me since I work and live right by Angel Stadium! At Opening week I even made it into the Guinness Book of World Records for being in the largest crowd of people wearing snuggies!

I got to go to Utah to visit Jared's family and celebrate Gavin's first Birthday

And since Jared was gone I figured it was a great time to get a dog! (of course I had his approval) So i got Henrie! We share the same birthday and he has been my little buddy since Jared has been gone. He is cocker spaniel mix and is 6 months old now. He has been a lot of fun to watch grow up! He is the sweetest little guy ever!

Durning these months me and Jared pretty much had letters to keep us in contact and an occasional Sunday phone call. Times were pretty tough and I was so excited to see this picture of him they took and posted online durning his basic training! It was the only picture I had at the time of him durning basic.

At the end of May we were both excited that Jared was almost done with basic and I was planning my trip down to Georgia for his graduation.

I think I will save June-August for part 2 of the re cap. And I promise it won't take 8 months to post. :)
